Poppyseed Cake
Polish poppy seed cake, also known as Makowiec, is a traditional cake usually eaten during Easter and Christmas holidays. Alternating layers of pastry and poppyseed are baked before finished with a sugary glaze and toppings such as candied orange peel, more poppyseed and raisins.
